Chris Fotinakis
Violin
Chris Fotinakis hails from Carson City, Nevada and arrived in Portland nearly fourteen years ago for musical studies at the University of Portland. He received his B.A. in Music in 2000, pursuing study in both violin and voice - with a side of viola. He studied violin under Holly Stern, member of the Portland Baroque Orchestra.
Chris has played with the Vancouver Symphony, the Oregon East Symphony, the Oregon Chamber Players, Oregon Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra, the Starlight Symphony, and has appeared as a vocalist with the Portland Baroque Orchestra, Portland Vocal Consort, Choral Arts Ensemble, and Cantores in Ecclesia. He holds a position as a soloist at All Saints Episcopal Church where he leads the tenor section and assists in directing the choir. Chris also fiddles with the indie-country band The Beautiful Train Wrecks and has recorded CDs with the Oregon Catholic Press and the University of Portland.
